St Lucia is by far one of my favorite Caribbean islands. If you are recently engaged, celebrating an anniversary or just needing a romantic getaway with your love, the St Lucia should be on your list! This beautiful island is home to two Piton mountains making it an attractive wedding or photo backdrop. In this sense, this island has become the reference point for most couples. The people of Saint Lucia are amicable, their food is delicious, and the beaches are very comfortable. This makes romance in St. Lucia a natural choice.

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN WITH THE ROMANTIC CULTURAL SET UP OF ST LUCIA
St. Lucia is a thriving island with vibrant flora and fauna, lush landscapes with rich culture and exquisite history. Couples and their guests can enjoy extraordinary experiences based on the natural, cultural and historical heritage of St. Lucia, one of the most picturesque islands in the Caribbean. With the help of experienced guides, lovers can see the remote areas of St. Lucia, which gives them the opportunity to experience the fascinating landscapes, local history and traditions of the island: From exploring the Diamond Botanic Gardens, thermal springs and rainforest waterfalls to enjoying the island on horseback, watch the turtles and enjoy the atmosphere on Friday at Anse La La Raye fish.
– Gros Islet – Friday Night ‘Jump Up’
On Friday night, the small fishing village of Gros Islet north of Rodney Bay is the perfect place. The narrow streets of Gros Islet are dotted with candy-coloured houses. And they provide the perfect backdrop for Jammin ‘Jump Ups. Residents here organise and organise street grills, street bars and sound systems. The smells of barbecue fish float gently in the streets, soft sounds fill the air, and partygoers dance all night long.
– Nature trail Tet Paul
The Tet Paul Trail is an easy-to-moderate 45-minute walk that offers visitors a range of breathtaking views on the way to Martinique and St. Vincent, Sugar Beach and Petit Piton. – Diamond Botanic Gardens and Waterfalls
Located in Soufrière, the Diamond Botanical Gardens & Waterfalls is the dream of nature lovers with a wide choice of plants and colourful flowers. An informative guide guides you through the gardens and displays some of the medicinal uses of plants. The waterfalls come from underground hot springs and rocks where the water spills over and is rich in minerals in an array of colours like yellow, purple and green.

THE WATER PLEASURE

– Snorkelling
Santa Lucia offers excellent scuba diving along the west coast. The clear waters reveal a multitude of colourful coral reefs and fish that can be seen in some areas just meters from the coast.
– SNUBA
The SNUBA is a combination of scuba diving and snorkelling and offers the whole family the opportunity to experience the beauty that St. Lucia has to offer both below and above the sea. You do not need a certification or diving experience, and people with basic swimming skills can participate.
– Sea-Trekking
Lovers, couples and visitors are equipped with the specially designed Sea Trek helmet that rests comfortably on their shoulders. Hikers breathe freely underwater from a continuous stream of air pumped behind the hull through a hose connected to a pod system carrying scuba tanks. There are no masks, no jets, no stress, and no complications. You can even use your prescription glasses as your entire head stays dry during your underwater adventure.
THE ST LUCIA FOOD

– DELICIOUS CUISINE
Lovers do not only experience the beautiful imagery and captivate the serenity. It is of note that the food of Santa Lucia is a feast for the senses. Five-star restaurants, star chefs and roadside cod serve fantastic fusion flavours, hearty home-cooked food and great food. All are made from organic products of local origin. St. Lucia is absolutely the job where love comes from. It consists of a combination of French, Indian and British dishes. Its national dish is called green fig (banana) and salted fish, which can be an option for your wedding dishes. Some of their wonderful and famous dishes include bread and salt fish, buyon, which consists of meat, plantains, dasheen, yams and meatballs. St. Lucia also possess fresh fruits. Due to the island’s fertile land, fruits such as mangoes, avocados, pineapples, mandarins and much more are grown on the island. The restaurants are known for their fresh seafood. St Lucia is the most suitable place for couples getting married. Also, it is an exceptionally great place for new couples to have their honeymoon.
ROMANTIC VILLAS AND HOTELS

– Capella Marigot Bay Resort and Marina
With a romantic atmosphere, a beautiful spa, excellent restaurants and around the hotel and attentive service, the Capella is a wonderful option for couples. The rooms are beautiful, with many dark wood details, large windows and stylish decor, and many have private pools on the patio and kitchen, so you do not even have to leave your room.
– Ladera Resort
The Ladera is very similar to the design and decoration of the Jade Mountains but is much cheaper. The rooms are tree-lined villas with a fourth open wall with breathtaking views of the pythons and the sea, elegant wood furniture, four-poster beds and ceiling fans. Many even have a private pool with spectacular views. – Cape Town Resort & Spa
Cape Town House is one of the quietest and most discreet resorts in the northern part of the island. It offers many opportunities for pampering and serenity, and although some families stay here, the resort is more couples-oriented and has a quieter atmosphere. The enchanting spa, the tranquil pools, the elegant cliff-top restaurant with breathtaking views, the small intimate beach and the beautiful rooms make it an ideal destination for a romantic get-away.
– Sandals St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort
Sandals Grande, the newest of the three Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia, is an exclusive 301-room beach resort located on a peninsula adjacent to Pigeon Island, a National Historic Landmark. Its exclusive pool with a large tower and a pool bar is the focal point of the action, a place where honeymooners meet and mingle. Three quieter swimming areas, numerous water sports facilities (including unlimited scuba diving), a gorgeous spa and eight restaurants, including an authentic British pub, ensure good entertainment. Club level and butler level rooms are available for enhanced service.
MINIMAL CONDITION FOR MARRIAGE

The biggest advantage that Saint Lucia has over other Caribbean islands is the availability of a flexible marriage. Before now, couples had to be on the island for 48 hours before receiving a marriage certificate. However, the country has recently made it easier to marry. Now couples can marry on the coast after a few hours. Inevitably, only certified copies of birth certificates, divorce certificate and adoption certificate (if applicable), a death certificate (for widows/widowers) and a valid passport are what is needed to initiate a wedding. If the blood test requirements of Puerto Rico, Mexico and San Martin discourage you, do not worry, in St. Lucia, none are required.
St. Lucia is a perfect destination for romantic and fantastic weddings, honeymoons and lovers’ anniversaries. Enjoy and have fun as you visit St. Lucia for any of your ceremonies.

The is definitly going to be my next trip!!
